MadBaz Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 My steerings gone funny, I can turn right and the steering wheel returns to centre as it should, but turn left and it feels very vague and the steering wheel doesn't return to centre. I suspect it's the tracking but I'm not so sure. All the stuff connected to the hub carriers (drop links, lower b/j's, t/r ends, wheel bearings) seem to be fine. I'm a bit lost on this one any help is appreciated. Quote
Dave-G Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 A low tyre pressure can cause weak self centering - though it looks like you have covered all the common possibilities. Are you one for parking "up" a kerb - which could have shifted the tracking a tad? Quote
gregers Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 didnt maz have many problems with her steering a couple of months ago?im sure theres a post on here somewhere. unless sorted plz dont drive it! Quote
zorgman Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 mine was the same after getting tracking done at a micky mouse garage. got it 4 wheel laser tracked and all is now well, your steering seems as tho its pulling to left when driving and as you say doesnt seem to centralize is a classic case of tracking. MadBaz Posted February 27, 2007 Author Report Posted February 27, 2007 Thanks everyone, tracking done again today at local Motosave, and all is well, my steering wheel is now centred as well, something Kwick fit missed after I'd replaced t/r ends last year. Quote
